      • TL;DR version is
      • UCC REALLY wanted a Vive
      • Guild didn't help them
      • one [CHS] was fed up and messaged Gabe Newell about what UCC is and why we need a Vive
      • Gabe forwarded [CHS]'s request to a group called Foundry10
      • Lisa Castaneda
      • got in touch with the founders of the group, made a deal that we get a Vive for free(?) in exchange for information on how we are using it
      • voila, we have a Vive
      • personal comment: we were insanely lucky
