Machine Technical Reports

Servers

* [BOB] left madako on UPS.
* [DAA] upgraded debian machines to 6.0.3. So all have new kernels except for those that don't boot with a stock kernel (which is now most of them - something to do with SSDs).
* Mylah needs a new disk. The disks that keep getting dropped are not the system disks, so there's no risk of losing mussel at the moment. However, considering moving it across to the NetApp FAS2020.
* FAS2020 (NAS) is still being set up by [MRD].

Network

* We can now confirm that the 100 megabit media converter still speaks 100 megabit, and not 1 gigabit.
* Uplink still needs to be tested properly, working with [MTL].
* [MRD] has a quote for powering the 4507R.
* [MRD] estimates that fiber will cost roughly $1350. Question still on whether clubroom network would do gigabit.
* Replace madako with murasoi? Murasoi dropped a PSU, would need to replace it before using it.
